FIRST COVID-19 FUNERAL AND BURIAL HELD BY MAVELIKARA DIOCESE WITH THE SAMARITAN TASK FORCE.

The first Covid funeral in the Mavelikara Diocese was conducted by the Samaritan task force which consisted of volunteers from Chethana and Malankara Catholic Youth Movement. Ms. Thankamma Varghese(75) Nediyavilayil house, passed away  due to COVID. The funeral prayer service was at Malankara Catholic Church, Charumood.

Father Lukose Kannimel, Executive Director of Chethana and Fr. John Maruthoor the  Assistant Director lead the funeral service along with the Samaritan Task Force Volunteers Robin Chacko, Shibin Chenkulam, Joby Neeleswaram, Robin Mathai and Mobin Eramathur. The funeral was conducted as per the instructions given by the Panchayat President, Health Department and the Police Station.
